Charter One Names Mark Quinlan Chief Information Officer CLEVELAND, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Charter One Financial, Inc. announced today the addition of Mark Quinlan as senior vice president and chief information officer. Quinlan will oversee and manage Charter One Technology Services, the company's information technology division, which includes application development, telecommunications and the data center. "Mark brings an impressive base of expertise in technology, banking and insurance," said Charles John Koch, Charter One's chairman and chief executive officer. "He is a tremendous addition to our management team and will play a major role in the development of our operations as we continue to grow and expand." Quinlan joins Charter One from Union Central Insurance and Investments where he was senior vice president for information and human services. Prior to joining Union Central, he was a senior vice president at Star Bancorp (now U.S. Bancorp) and vice president at First Fidelity Bancorp. He has also held several information services management positions with Citibank. Quinlan has both a bachelor of arts and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Rochester.
