BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust

Announces Tender Offer

New York, December 19, 2019 – BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust (the “Fund”) (NYSE: BTZ) announced today that the Fund’s Board of Trustees (the “Board”) approved a tender offer (the “Tender Offer”) to purchase for cash up to 10% of the Fund’s outstanding common shares of beneficial interest, at a price equal to 98% of the net asset value (“NAV”) per share, determined on the business day on which the Tender Offer expires. The Fund intends to commence the Tender Offer on or about January 2, 2020, with the expiration of the Tender Offer currently expected to be on February 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, unless otherwise extended.

The final terms and conditions of the Tender Offer will be set forth in an Offer to Purchase and a related Letter of Transmittal. As soon as the Tender Offer commences, the Fund will file a Tender Offer statement on Schedule TO with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), which will include an Offer to Purchase and related Letter of Transmittal.
