Explanation of Responses:
(1)  Includes 58 shares shares purchased under the Viasat Employee Stock Purchase Plan on December 31, 2018 and 56 shares purchased on June 28, 2019.
(2)  This entry represents the number of shares of Viasat, Inc. common stock withheld by the Issuer to satisfy the tax withholding obligation of the Reporting Person. These shares were not sold by the Reporting Person but were instead offset from the total number of vested shares received by the Reporting Person from the Issuer.
(3)  Includes 143 shares of common stock the reporting person acquired under the Viasat 401(k)Plan, since the date of the reporting person's last ownership report.
(4)  The original restricted stock unit grant was for 12,000 restricted stock units on 05/28/2008. The reporting person elected to defer the receipt of the shares of common stock for a period of ten (10) years. As a result of the deferral, the reporting person will receive shares of common stock as follows: 3,000 shares on 06/28/2019; 3,000 shares on 05/28/2020; 3,000 shares on 05/28/2021 and 3,000 shares on 05/28/2022.
(5)  Until vested, the restricted stock unit shall be subject to forfeiture in the event of termination of employment or service with the Issuer.
