dressbarn, inc Donates $3 Million in Clothing to Katrina Relief Effort; Double Matching Gift Program Established

dressbarn, inc, a leading retailer and authority on women's
fashion, is sending over $3 million worth of women's apparel to
assist victims of Hurricane Katrina. The clothing will be
distributed by World Vision, a relief and development organization
serving families in need. World Vision has agreed to process the
clothing and send it to relief zones that are currently being set
up in the affected region. In addition to the clothing donation,
dressbarn, inc has established a special associate matching gift
program to encourage individual involvement in the relief effort.
The company will "double match" all employee contributions to any
charity helping in the relief effort. As an example, a donation of
$100 by an employee will become a $300 donation to the charity.
Given the extent of the tragedy and its direct impact on the
company's associates in that region, dressbarn, inc has also
established a special Associate Fund that will provide aid to the
affected employees. The company's Sunshine Fund, which has been in
existence over 15 years, provides immediate assistance for
