The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index fell 0.2% to 98.08.

In commodities, Brent crude rose 0.3% to $76.24 a barrel, and WTI crude rose 0.3% to $71.54 a barrel.

The German 10-year Bund yield declined by 6 basis points to 2.215% from 2.275%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury fell by 4 basis points to 4.198% from 4.236%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.

Stocks in Asia were up as Japan's Nikkei 225 index climbed 0.2%, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng climbed 1.1%. China's benchmark Shanghai Composite climbed 0.4%.
