MANO RECOVERS FURTHER MACRODIAMONDS IN MINI-BULK SAMPLES FROM ITS KIMBERLITE
DYKES IN SIERRA LEONE
* Five 1 tonne Mini-Bulk Samples collected from Lion-1, 2, 3 and 5 dykes
* Macrodiamonds recovered from Lion-1, 2 and 5 samples
* Preliminary (diluted) grades of up to 94 cpht (in Lion-5)
* Additional 200 loam samples collected over high interest stream anomalies
in area of no previously known kimberlites
Mano River Resources Inc, the AIM and TSX-V listed diamond and gold exploration
company, has received further very encouraging results from a diamond
exploration programme within its two Exclusive Prospecting Licences (EPLs) in
the Kono diamond district of Sierra Leone.
Mini-Bulk Sampling of Lion-1, 2, 3 and 5 dykes:
Further to the first mini-bulk sample from the Lion-1 dyke returning an
encouraging calculated, yet diluted, grade of 65cpht Mano embarked on further
mini-bulk sampling of the Lion-1, 2, 3 and 5 kimberlite dykes. These samples
each comprised 1 tonne of kimberlite, which in some cases were unavoidably mixed
with surrounding country rock material, resulting in a reduction in the reported
grade. Each sample was washed and jigged on site to recover diamonds in the
+0.71 to -2.0mm and +2.0mm size fractions. The results are set out in Table 1
below:

All of the diamonds recovered from these samples were weighed and described by
John Gurney's Mineral Services laboratory in Cape Town, the complete results of
which are shown in Table 2.
A significant grade of 94cpht was obtained for a sample of the Lion-5 dyke,
which has been mapped for a distance of approximately 1km. Mano's stream and
loam sample results, plus historical mapping by Sierra Leone Selection Trust,
show that this dyke extends in a westerly direction well into Mano's EPL and
eastwards into the immediately adjacent DiamondWorks ground, where it links with
the latter's Koidu Pipes and Dykes project on which commercial mining is
expected to commence soon.
Mano's CEO, Dr Tom Elder comments: "The recovery of macrodiamonds from these
mini-bulk samples is very encouraging and suggests that these dykes have
economic potential. Mano intends, subject to financing and the acquisition of
the required expertise in dyke/fissure mining, to embark on a bigger scale bulk
sampling exercise on the Lion dykes in order to obtain a preliminary diamond
value for these potential resources, as well as obtain a more confident grade
assessment through the processing of larger tonnage samples."
Loam Sample Results:
Sampling of a further loam block in the Yengema East EPL was completed and the
200 samples have been exported to South Africa for analysis. During the course
of the sampling large blocks of hypabyssal kimberlite float were identified
which no doubt represents an undiscovered kimberlite in an area where there are
no previous kimberlites identified. Intensive artisanal mining within the block
points to these as yet undiscovered kimberlites being diamond bearing.
Summary:
The management of Mano River remains very encouraged by the continued recovery
of macrodiamonds from the kimberlites so far tested. The significant number and
strike extent of the diamondiferous kimberlite dykes discovered suggests the
potential for the EPL's to host a future large tonnage, economic underground
diamond mine. Subject to financing, Mano intends to aggressively pursue this
exciting project through further bulk-sampling, drilling and geophysics.

Forms:
A Equidimensional stone that is equally developed along all 3 crystallographic
axes and approaching a perfect shape.
B Single crystals that are not equally developed along all 3 crystal axes and
that may be distorted. Also includes macles and aggregates. Note: Even very
slightly distorted crystals classify as B.
C Stones that are flat, represent a chip, or are very thin macles.
Colour Intensity:
0 White stones are automatically set to zero.
1 Colour is visible as a faint hue.
2 The hue is easily visible.
3 The colour is strong.
4 The colour is so strong that it makes the stone opaque.
Clarity:
0 No inclusions or cleavages and stone is perfectly clear.
