HOLDING IN COMPANY

Urbium PLC announces that it was informed yesterday of the following changes in
interests in the Company's ordinary shares of 50 pence each ("Ordinary Shares")
in the Company's ordinary share capital, which took effect on 18 December 2003:

1. that FMR Corp and Fidelity International Limited interests in Ordinary Shares
increased from 405,679 Ordinary Shares (representing 3.92 per cent of the total
issued Ordinary Share capital of the Company) to 420,579 Ordinary Shares
(representing 4.06 per cent of the total issued Ordinary Share capital of the
Company):

2. that Mr Edward C Johnson 3rd is interested in shares in FMR Corp. and
Fidelity International Limited and a result of those interests and as a result
of FMR Corp. and Fidelity International Limited's interests in the Company, is
deemed to be interested in 4.06 per cent of the total issued Ordinary Share
capital of the Company).
