Four Groups Still in Race For Italy's TI Media Assets -Report

Four groups are still racing for the assets of Telecom Italia
Media (TME.MI) that are up for sale, La Repubblica reports Sunday
on its website.
Cairo Communications SpA (CAI.MI), 3 Italia, owned by China's
Hutchison Whampoa (HUWHY, 0013.HK), Germany's RTL (RTL.BT) of the
Bertelsmann Group and the U.S.'s Discovery Channel (DISCA) will
submit non-binding bids before Monday's deadline.
The offers will be then examined by the board of TI Media's
parent company Telecom Italia (TIA, TIT.MI) on Sept. 27.
