If they announce the hiring of an investment banker to facilitate a sale or merger, the stock will be IN PLAY, which may cause the stock to approach or make new 12 month highs.
It will also likely cause accumulation of shares insider below SEC reporting requirement.

Very odd indeed. I tried to stop the run by putting a Milly on the ask. I let it sit for 10 minutes yet the pps didn't plummet like it normally does. Someone tell me what's going on here. Are we now living in an alternate reality?

In normal times these "nice" 500+ point drops were always a great buying opportunity, but in not normal times it could be the start of Musk's predicted 50% drop.
