In the first week of the new year, CHD Meridian Healthcare opened four new health centers. The first is a comprehensive primary care site for an existing client that will serve approximately 2,000 employees and their families. The second and third are occupational health centers for existing clients and the fourth is an occupational health center for a new client - all serving hundreds of employees. In addition, CHD Meridian is actively negotiating contracts with 11 clients representing a diverse group of industries including manufacturing, financial services, consumer products and defense. The 21 new health centers and pharmacy sites through these new clients are slated to open during the course of the next year with more than 38% scheduled to open in the first quarter and 57% by July 2007. Of these 21 sites in negotiations, over half are part of multi-site contracts, or clients who are contracting with CHD Meridian to operate and manage a number of health centers as part of one contract.
