VANCOUVER, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ID Biomedical Corporation (TSX: IDB; NASDAQ: IDBE) ("ID Biomedical") announced today that it has applied to the British Columbia Supreme Court for approval of the proposed acquisition of ID Biomedical by GlaxoSmithKline plc. and GlaxoSmithKline Inc. The Court has reserved its decision and indicated it expects to issue a decision at 9:00 am (Vancouver time) on December 6, 2005. ID Biomedical also announced that the proposed transaction has now received the required approvals under the Investment Canada Act. Completion of the proposed transaction remains subject to a number of conditions. ID Biomedical expects the transaction to be completed by the end of 2005.
