Smith International, Inc. (NYSE: SII)�announces drilling
optimization solutions�for Comstock Resources�(NYSE: CRK)�result in
their first�well with less than 30 day drilling time in the
Haynesville shale gas play. Comstock Resources also realized a
total drilling time reduction of more than 20%�over a three well
drilling program.

i-DRILL, Smith's advanced drilling simulation technology, and
