Harris Williams & Co. Continues to Invest in Senior Leadership

Harris Williams & Co., premier middle market investment bank, announces that it has promoted four senior professionals from the firm’s Boston and San Francisco offices. Sam Hendler and Jay Hernandez have been promoted to director while Matt Conaty and Matt Volinsky have been promoted to vice president. The promotions expand the senior capabilities across several of the firm’s offices and dedicated industry groups.

In addition to promoting four senior professionals, Ryan Nelson has joined the firm as a director in the firm’s Richmond office. Nelson comes to the firm from the mergers and acquisitions group at Wells Fargo Securities. Nelson has more than a decade of experience executing M&A, divestiture and capital raising transactions for public and private company clients across a variety of industries.

Hendler has been promoted to director in the firm’s Boston office and is a member of Harris Williams & Co.’s Technology, Telecom & Digital Media (TTDM) Group. Hendler has extensive experience advising both public and private technology companies on M&A transactions, private placements and corporate divestitures with a focus on software/SaaS, HCIT and technology enabled services businesses.

Hernandez has been promoted to director in the firm’s Boston office. Hernandez has advised numerous clients on sell side merger and acquisition assignments and has been engaged on transactions in a variety of industries including advanced manufacturing, business services, consumer products, general industrial and healthcare.

Conaty has been promoted to vice president in the firm’s San Francisco office. Prior to investment banking, Conaty was a prosecuting attorney in Monmouth County, NJ. Conaty has executed transactions across a variety of industries including consumer products, business services, transportation and logistics and healthcare.

Volinsky has been promoted to vice president in the firm’s Boston office. Volinsky has experience executing transactions across a wide range of industries including advanced manufacturing, general industrial, consumer products and business services.
