Harris Williams & Co. Advises Carex Health Brands in its Sale to Ancor Capital Partners

Harris Williams & Co. is pleased to announce the sale of Carex Health Brands® (Carex), a portfolio company of KCA Partners, Ltd. (KCA), to Ancor Capital Partners (Ancor). Harris Williams & Co. acted as the exclusive advisor to Carex. The transaction was executed from the firm’s San Francisco office.

Carex has been the branded leader in in-home self-care medical products for over 20 years through its suite of products including Carex®, Apex®, Bed Buddy®, TheraMed®, Enablers and Vita Systems®. The company’s goal is to provide a wide array of innovative products that bring convenience, dignity and ease of use to all consumers and caregivers. Carex serves national, regional and independent food, drug and mass retailers along with wholesalers, distributors and medical dealers.

KCA is a San Francisco-based private equity firm that works with a limited number of platform companies in order to devote both the operational and financial resources necessary for lower-middle market companies to achieve their potential. Since the firm’s founding in 1993, KCA has operated as a partnership between the firm’s principals and the management teams in its operating companies.
