announced that it is partnering with Rebuilding Together Baltimore
for volunteer efforts to provide critical home repairs.
Rebuilding Together Baltimore, an affiliate of Rebuilding
Together®, is a nonprofit that brings volunteers and communities
together to provide critical home repairs to help improve the lives
of low-income homeowners. Rebuilding Together Baltimore has
repaired more than 1,300 homes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
On September 25th,
volunteers from Medifast, along with Rebuilding Together Baltimore,
will provide upgrades and renovations to a homeowner's property in
Baltimore's Woodbourne-McCabe
neighborhood. The homeowner, who worked in hospital admissions
before retiring, bought her house 20 years ago. The neighborhood,
under-resourced for decades, was recently identified by
Baltimore City as an area to
revitalize by reinvesting in vacant properties.
