In addition to megawatts (MW) that were bid to meet existing obligations, Dynegy (NYSE:DYN) bid 2,197 MW into the MISO capacity auction for the 2016/17 planning year, with 870 MW coming from its IPH segment. These megawatts were bid at Dynegy’s cost, as approved by MISO’s independent market monitor. The auction cleared at $72 per megawatt-day. None of Dynegy’s uncommitted megawatts cleared the auction.
