BlackRock Inc. (BLK) has expressed interest in bidding for AXA Private Equity, the asset manager up for sale by French parent AXA S.A. (CS.FR), the Financial Times reported late Thursday, citing sources.

BlackRock joins Kolhberg Kravis Roberts in the race for AXA Private Equity, with around $28billion worth of assets under management, the report said.
