BlackRock Advisors, LLC today announced that, in connection with the liquidation of BlackRock Investment Quality Municipal Income Trust (NYSE Amex:RFA) (the “Fund”), the Fund’s common shares will continue to trade the “regular way” on the NYSE Amex through June 12, 2012 and will be suspended from trading before the opening of trading on June 13, 2012.

The Fund has entered into a plan of liquidation such that it anticipates the distribution of liquidation proceeds, in one or more liquidating distributions, to occur on or about June 29, 2012. Once the Fund’s common shares have been suspended from trading on the NYSE Amex, any subsequent information pertaining to the Fund’s liquidation will be available in the “Closed-End Funds” section of www.blackrock.com.
