Launch of Kent TV
Ten Alps Plc (AIM: TAL), the factual media company, today announces the launch
of Kent TV - the UK's first county council-funded, on-demand broadband
television channel.
As announced on 26 April 2007, Ten Alps won a competitive tender process to
operate Kent TV on behalf of Kent County Council.
The new service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at
www.KentTV.com. The site will feature an independent news service, information
about local public services and events as well as features on issues such as
bullying, social exclusion and health. Kent TV has an independent board and an
external news service to ensure totally impartial coverage.
Alex Connock, Chief Executive of Ten Alps Plc, said: "We already produce media
content for over 200 councils around the UK so this is an exciting new direction
both for us and local government."

Notes to Editors
Ten Alps is a factual media company providing content for TV, radio, online TV
and print, plus managing related commercial opportunities.
Ten Alps targets content to every outlet that audiences, customers and
advertisers engage with - making it entirely cross-platform.
This year Ten Alps is producing over 500 publications and scores of TV and radio
programmes. It has invested in and launched 12 online TV channels.
Ten Alps' strategy is to migrate specialist media to online TV, retaining
consumers on both sides of the online-offline divide as choice widens and
audiences fragment.
Growth has come through strategic acquisitions and cross selling between media
channels. When Ten Alps launched on AiM in 2001 it had revenues of under #2m
and 10 staff. It now employs over 570 people in three divisions: broadcast,
digital and communications, and 2006-7 revenues were #69m.
With headquarters in London, Ten Alps also has major offices in the North-West
and Scotland.
