                     Appointment of New Finance Director

The board of Reed Health Group plc ("RHG" or "the Company") announces the
appointment of Desmond Mark Christopher Doyle as Group Finance Director of
RHG. He will be joining the Company on 26 November 2001.

Desmond Doyle was previously European Chief Financial Officer for APW Ltd, a
NYSE listed company. There are no other disclosures required pursuant to the
Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority in connection with Desmond's
appointment.

Malcolm Paget, who steps down as Finance Director with immediate effect, is
leaving to pursue other interests. We wish him every success in his future
career.
