            PetroLatina Energy plc ("PetroLatina" or the "Company")

                               Director's Dealing

The Company was informed today that Nicholas Gay, a Non-Executive Director of
the Company, has sold 100,000 ordinary shares in the Company at 29p per share to
meet a tax liability arising out of the original acquisition of ordinary shares
in the Company. Following this transaction, Mr Gay is interested in 455,000
ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.41 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.
