Austrian Red Cross

     EAST HILLS, N.Y.--(BW HealthWire)--Nov. 9, 1998--Pall Corporation
(NYSE: PLL) today announced a strategic alliance with the Austrian Red
Cross ("ARC"). Under the terms of the agreement, Pall will acquire a
17% interest in TEC, which is the wholly-owned manufacturing arm of
the Austrian Red Cross. TEC will manufacture and assemble leukocyte
reducing blood filtration systems combining Pall Corporation products
with TEC blood bags, systems and solutions.

     Eric Krasnoff, Chairman and CEO of Pall, said, "This agreement is
a further evolution of the long standing relationship between Pall
Corporation and the Austrian Red Cross. Pall is committed to
supporting the ARC in its implementation of universal leukocyte
filtration for blood components in Austria. Our alliance will help
Pall and the ARC meet the growing demand for safer blood transfusions
in Austria. ARC will also sell the filtration systems in neighboring
European countries, where demand for leukocyte filtration of blood is
also growing."

     The Austrian Red Cross is responsible for blood donor recruitment
and blood processing as well as for most of the ambulance prehospital
