                 Oxford Technology 3 Venture Capital Trust plc

                           "OT3VCT" or "the Company")

                   In relation to the Offer for Subscription


Oxford Technology 3 Venture Capital Trust plc announces that it is today issuing
a Supplementary Prospectus in connection with OT3VCT, which was launched on 12
February 2002.  The Supplementary Prospectus has been posted to all
shareholders.

The VCT invests primarily in unquoted early stage and start up technology
companies.

The Offer for Subscription is sponsored by Beaumont Cornish Limited.


Details of the Offer

A balance of 5,723,483 new ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company ("Shares")
are being offered for subscription at a price of 100p per Share payable in full
on application.  The Offer is not underwritten.  The minimum level for
individual subscription is #5,000.

The extended closing date for the Offer in respect of applications for the 2002/
2003 tax year is 3.00 pm on  31 January 2003, or such date as Beaumont Cornish
Limited and the Company agree, but no later than 4 April 2003.

Copies of the Supplementary Prospectus and the Prospectus of 12 February 2002
are also available for inspection at the Document Viewing Facility, Financial
Services Authority, 25 North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.
