March Networks Launches Open IP Surveillance Solutions for Next Generation Video
                                  Intelligence

Company showcases open server software, video analytics and integration hardware
for IT-centric video surveillance and business optimization at ASIS
                               International 2006

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, September 25, 2006 -- March Networks(TM)(TSX:MN; AIM:MNW), a
leading provider of Internet Protocol (IP)-based digital video surveillance
solutions, announced today that it has launched its next generation IP-Video
intelligence solutions at the ASIS International 2006 Seminar and Exhibits in
San Diego, California.

R5 VOS (Video Operating System) is the next evolution of March Network's R5
Visual Intelligence software, enhanced to now work on open, industry-standard
servers and storage platforms. The same powerful video capture, processing,
storage and management capabilities that have made March Networks digital video
recorders (DVRs/NVRs) the choice of leading financial institutions, retailers
and other enterprises worldwide are being made available to progressive
customers wanting a scalable and IP-centric video environment. Ensuring all
network management and user software is compatible across either hardware
environment provides customers with an elegant migration. This software
strategy also includes value-added applications such as intelligent video
analytics that tie to March Networks' business intelligence solutions.

The new 6316 Powered IP Encoder allows customers to integrate analog cameras
into an open, IP-video infrastructure. The conversion of analog camera feeds
into digital data allows the consolidated video streams to travel over cost
effective CAT-5/6 network cabling to a central IT server, where R5 VOS provides
the secure video management and storage. The 6316 Encoder allows customers to
migrate to an IP-video environment without jeopardizing their current investment
in analog surveillance cameras.

"The launch of our R5 VOS software and IP Encoder represents an important
migration solution for enterprises and keeps pace with the latest market
innovations," said Tony Jenkins, Vice President of Global Marketing for March
Networks. "March Networks can now address the specific needs of customers who
are looking to migrate efficiently into an IP-video surveillance and application
environment, where they can leverage true convergence between physical and IT
security systems."

March Networks is proud to display R5 VOS software, the 6316 Powered IP Encoder,
and its latest video analytics and business intelligence applications at the
ASIS International 2006 Seminar and Exhibits in San Diego, California from
September 25-27, 2006 at booth #3843.
