AIM RELEASE

KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (AIM: KDC)

Kimberley Diamond Company NL (the Company) notes the press speculation of a
potential corporate transaction involving the Company. The Company confirms it
is in discussions that involve a potential takeover of Kimberley at a price of
70 cents cash per share but that final agreement has not been reached and the
Company will announce further details as soon as it is in a position to do so.
