Result of General Meeting

A General Meeting of Johnston Press plc (the "Company") was held at 10.00 a.m. on 21 March 2016 at the offices of Ashurst LLP, Broadwalk House, 5 Appold Street, London EC2A 2HA.

The ordinary resolution providing the requisite approvals and authorities from the shareholders of the Company in relation to the acquisition of the business and certain assets of i (the "Resolution"), as set out in the notice of general meeting contained in the circular sent to shareholders on 2 March 2016, was duly passed.

The total number of shares in issue at the record date and time for voting was 105,877,777. Proxy appointments were received from shareholders holding an aggregate of 62,326,559 shares, representing 58.9 per cent. of the issued share capital.

The table below shows the votes received for and against the Resolution.

(1) Any proxy appointments which gave discretion to the Chairman have been included in the "For" total.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.1R, a copy of the Resolution has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM.
