            Jordana Beatty cast as Eloise in 'Eloise in Paris' Film


25 April, 2008. LONDON, UK: HandMade plc, the international rights and film
company, is pleased to announce today that Jordana Beatty, a 9 year old
Australian actress has been cast to play the title role of ''Eloise'' in
''Eloise in Paris'', a live action feature film which has been adapted from the
children's novel series. The film was co-written by Charles Shyer with his
daughter Hallie Meyers-Shyer and Larry Spencer and will be produced by Patrick
Meehan, Thomas D. Adelman and Ron Rotholz. Charles Shyer will also executive
produce.


Jordana Beatty was discovered after more than 4000 girls on four continents were
auditioned for the part of ''Eloise'', a precocious young girl who lives at The
Plaza Hotel, Paris, with her dog, turtle and her English nanny. She is already
an experienced young actress in Australia and has been acting in dramatic
television and commercials since the age of 4.


Oscar nominee Uma Thurman has already been cast as ''Nanny'' in this
contemporary adaptation of the literary classic, with HandMade Films
anticipating an ongoing franchise for the Eloise character. Eloise originally
came to fame in the books written by Kay Thompson (and illustrated by Hilary
Knight), which tells the story of Eloise's adventures in New York City and
beyond.

HandMade has previously produced two Eloise television films for The Wonderful
World of Disney, staring Julie Andrews as the Nanny. Principal photography for
''Eloise in Paris'' will begin on 12 August, 2008 in London, Paris and New York.
