                       ("Commoditrade" or "the Company")

The Directors of Commoditrade have noted the recent speculation regarding a
possible acquisition by the Company. The Company can confirm that it has entered
into heads of agreement and a period of exclusivity to acquire a commodity
trading business. The transaction would constitute a reverse takeover under the
AIM Rules. Accordingly the Company has requested that the London Stock Exchange
suspend trading of the Company's securities on AIM.
