CMG selected by Hutchison 3G for Multimedia and Unified Communications platform

Global agreement for Hutchison's 3G networks worldwide

CMG plc today announced that it has been awarded the contract to provide its
Multimedia and Unified Communications platform to Hutchison 3G UK Ltd
('Hutchison 3G'), holder of the UK's largest third-generation mobile phone
licence. This global agreement enables all Hutchison group companies and
affiliates to deploy CMG's 3G IP-based messaging platform.

CMG Wireless Data Solutions will deliver a full suite of mobile data and voice
messaging software services, enabling Hutchison 3G's customers to enjoy rich
multimedia messaging communication, in addition to well-known services like SMS
and voicemail.

The contract includes CMG's products based on IP and other open standards, such
as Unified Communications solutions, the Multimedia Messaging Service Centre,
Wireless Service Broker and the Short Messaging Service Centre.

Colin Tucker, managing director of Hutchison 3G, said: "We selected CMG as our
partner because of the company's consistent high performance in messaging
services. In addition CMG's all IP and open standards implementation fits with
our IP based 3G network and will allow us to bring an exciting range of new
services to market quickly. The solution consolidates voicemail, e-mail, fax and
multimedia messaging in a single environment."

"We're very excited by the opportunity of working with Hutchison 3G. This is
another important milestone for CMG, already a widely recognised leader in
mobile messaging. It demonstrates that we are continuing to lead the way in
Multimedia and IP based messaging solutions", commented Thomas Ivarson,
President of CMG Wireless Data Solutions.

Cor Stutterheim, Chairman of CMG plc added: "We're very proud to be working with
Hutchison 3G to shape the next generation of mobile services and look forward to
a long partnership. This contract shows that we have the compelling solution for
3G carriers who demand a short time-to-market and need to introduce innovative
revenue generating services."

2. About Hutchison 3G

Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. ("Hutchison 3G") holds licence 'A' (a third-generation
licence), which was issued by the UK government in May 2000. This licence was
for the largest block of spectrum auctioned in the UK, as it was set-aside for a
new entrant to the market. The licence consists of 15MHz of paired spectrum, and
5MHz of unpaired spectrum.

3G is a convergence of media, information and telephony which promises to change
people's lives by enabling them to access information on the move when, where
and how they want. The 3G standard (agreed throughout Europe, Japan, China, and
the rest of Asia) is formally known as UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications
System). It represents a global standard for third generation mobile
communication systems and is at the heart of the Hutchison 3G initiative.

Hutchison Whampoa Limited holds a 65 per cent stake in Hutchison 3G, the other
major shareholders are NTT DoCoMo (20 per cent) KPN Mobile (15 per cent).
