The Board of Cassell plc (the "Company") has today received notification
from Perpetual plc that it has sold 193,714 shares in the Company.  As a
result  of  the  transaction, Perpetual is  now  interested  in  636,786
shares,  representing  approximately 8.68 per  cent.  of  the  Company's
issued share capital.
