         SUN LIFE FINANCIAL OF CANADA SIGNS A MULTI MILLION POUND
            CONTRACT WITH DATA MIGRATION SPECIALIST CEDAR PMPL

Sun Life Financial of Canada ("SLFOC") has signed a #2 million pound contract
with specialist data migration consultancy, Cedar PMPL ("Cedar"). SLFOC as
part of its strategy in reducing its four major mainframe systems to one new
low cost NT based system. The objective is to halve the administration costs
for policy holders.

Cedar's role is to ensure that the new system gives SLFOC's Sales and
Marketing Divisions a single view of the customer across all the products. The
sales force will be able to segment new product opportunities across the
customer base to achieve SLFOC's growth and profit targets.

Paul Davies, SLFOC's Vice President and Director of Operations, said,

"I am very pleased that the SLFOC and Cedar PMPL teams are working so well
together to deliver our old systems onto our new platform so quickly. SLFOC
have had a relationship with PMPL over a number of years and this is our first
major project together. It's a refreshing change to visit a Cedar PMPL
reference site which is so enthusiastic and find that same confidence and
drive transferred to our own situation."

experience is now available for the Sun Life Financial of Canada project."
