    Issue of Equity

    Stamford, CT - July 11, 2008 - Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:CDTI & AIM:CDT & XETRA:CDI), the cleantech emissions reduction
company, announced today that it has issued 71,203 common shares pursuant to the exercise of options under the Company's share option scheme
since 22 June 2007.

    Accordingly, application has been made for 71,203 new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading. The new ordinary shares will rank pari
passu with the existing issued shares of the Company and dealings are expected to commence on 17 July 2008.

    Furthermore, on 5 June 2008 Charles Grinnell, Director, acquired 313 common shares in the Company following an exercise of 1,500 options
exercisable at a price of $10.00 per share, paid by surrender of 1,187 common shares. Accordingly, Mr Grinnell's actual interest in the
Company has increased to 6,193 common shares, and his beneficial interest is 49,526 common shares (assuming options exercisable within 60
days hereof), representing 0.6% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

    Following the issue of the new ordinary shares the Company will have a total of 8,139,302 ordinary shares in issue.
