    Computacenter plc, the IT services and solutions provider, announces the appointment of Greg Lock as its new Chairman, with effect from
1 July 2008. 

    Greg Lock, 60, has been the Chairman at Kofax plc, the intelligence capture and exchange solution provider, previously Dicom Group plc,
since March 2007.  He is a Non-Executive Director of private technology companies, Liberata plc and Target Group and has more than 38 years
experience in the software and computer services industry. 

    Between 2000 and 2007, Greg was a Non-Executive Director of SurfControl plc and Chairman of that Company between 2003 and 2007. In the
previous 30 years Greg held various positions with IBM Corporation in the US, France, Germany and the UK. Most notably, from 1998 to 2000,
he was General Manager of IBM's Global Industrial sector with responsibility for approximately 15% of IBM's revenue. In addition, he served
as a member of the Company's Worldwide Management Council and as a governor of the IBM Academy of Technology.

    The appointment of the new Chairman follows the announcement on 18 February 2008 that Ron Sandler had resigned as Chairman, due to his
new commitment at Northern Rock.  Cliff Preddy will continue to serve as Interim Chairman until Greg's appointment becomes effective.

    There are no further details in relation to Greg Lock which require disclosure pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the
Financial Services Authority.
