                               AGM Trading Update

The following statement will be made by the Chairman of Charteris, Cliff Preddy,
at the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held at 10:00a.m. today:

In the preliminary announcement of the 2007 year end results, we reported that
our new service lines (Customer Centricity, the Integrated Enterprise and
Infrastructure Optimisation) were driving significant new project based sales.
We also noted an increased demand from several key accounts - in both the
private and public sectors.

I can report that this trend has continued as we progress through the first
half, especially in the areas of multi-channel retail and secure government. We
have seen extensions to a number of high profile projects as well as
breakthrough sales with new clients.

In view of this pleasing progress, the Directors believe that the business will
continue to make good headway through the remainder of the first half year and
that there will be good momentum entering the second half.
