                                Grant of options

On 15 January, 2008, options to subscribe for ordinary shares in the Company
were granted to the following directors of the Company, pursuant to the ATH
Resources plc Unapproved Share Option Scheme ("the Unapproved Scheme") and the
ATH Resources plc Long Term Incentive Plan ("the LTIP"), as follows:

The options granted under the Unapproved Scheme are exercisable at 205p per
share, being the prevailing price of the Company's ordinary shares on the date
of grant, and can be exercised between 3 and 10 years from the date of grant.
The Options granted under the LTIP are exercisable at 1p per share.

In addition, on the same date and on the same terms, a total of 419,257 options
to subscribe for ordinary shares in the Company were granted to certain key
employees of the Company pursuant to the LTIP.
