Appointment of Director of Mining



Angus & Ross plc is pleased to announce that on 21st May 2008 Mr. Timothy John
Daffern (41) will take up his appointment to the Board as Director of Mining
with specific responsibility for the overall technical management of the
company's Black Angel project in Greenland. Mr. Daffern has most recently been
the Technical Director (Mining) and Principal Engineer with Wardell Armstrong
International Ltd.



While at Wardell Armstrong, Mr. Daffern led the team which for three years
provided technical advice to the company and which recently completed the
Bankable Feasibility study of the Black Angel project.



Mr. Daffern is a Chartered Engineer who gained professional qualifications in
Australia, Canada, and at the Camborne School of Mines.  He has 19 years of
international experience in both surface and underground operations. Before
joining Wardell Armstrong, he gained  practical experience in operations
management, mine development, contract management and mine economics with
organizations including BHP, Newcrest, BPB, and at the South Crofty Tin mine in
Cornwall.

spent time in the mine and the surrounding area and having first hand knowledge
of the project, we know that Tim is uniquely qualified to lead the team that is
now preparing to bring this famous mine back into production."
