Acorn announced today that Stan Boland, former CFO, has been appointed by the
Board as CEO of the Company with immediate effect and that the Company's
current CEO, David Lee, will shortly be stepping down as a director.  A new
CFO will be appointed in due course.

The Board has expressed its thanks and appreciation to Mr Lee for the
important and valuable contributions he has made in a three year tenure during
which significant milestones have been achieved by the Company; including the
formation of Xemplar Education Ltd (a schools IT joint venture with Apple),
the establishment of Co-operative Development Agreements with Oracle
Corporation and its subsidiary, NetWork Computer Inc and most recently the
highly successful public listing of the associate company ARM Holdings Plc.

The Company is now embarking on a new stage in its development and it is
therefore an appropriate time for Stan Boland to step up to guide it through
the next phase.
