PORT ST. LUCIE, FL--(Marketwired - Jan 29, 2014) - Water Technologies International, Inc. (OTC Pink: WTII) the leader in the technology in atmospheric water generator's production and design announced today that the South African Registrar recently notified the Company that it has issued the Patent Certificate. Water Technologies International has received the Patent Certificate for Patent NO.2012/08348 Apparatus and Method to recover and dispense potable water using its Atmospheric Water Generating technology. Having achieved this significant step which protects the Company's valuable IP, the Company now is moving forward with distribution and sales of its Atmospheric Water Generators in South Africa and surrounding countries. The Company is also pleased to announce that it has secured the registered trademark for "GREAT WATER" in the United States.

Water Technologies distributor N&M Technologies has been working with the South African Government and several municipalities throughout Africa to secure projects and interest in atmospheric water generators. The Company's wholly owned subsidiary, GR8 Water, Inc., has registered as an authorized company in South Africa and is prepared to consummate commercial transactions in regards to the Company's product line. The region is in need of clean water not only for drinking but for agricultural and sanitation uses.

South Africa is the 26th largest economy in the world as measured by GDP with a population of over 48.6 million people. The need for clean drinking water continues to grow with the contamination of existing water supplies.
