Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Ltd. (1038.HK), which is
part of a consortium planning to buy Electricite de France SA's
(EDF.FR) U.K. electricity distribution networks, said Friday it is
also studying several other projects.
Chairman Victor Li told reporters at a news conference that CKI
faces no funding pressure for future acquisitions.
His comment comes after CKI and Hongkong Electric Holdings Ltd.
(0006.HK) said in a joint statement Friday that they are in a
consortium with the Li Ka Shing Foundation to buy EDF's U.K.
electricity distribution networks for GBP5.8 billion (US$9.05
billion).
Both CKI and Hongkong Electric are controlled by tycoon Li
Ka-shing.
