NXT Nutritionals Appoints Leading Diabetes Expert Camillo Ricordi, M.D., to Its Medical Advisory Board

(“NXT Nutritionals”) (OTCBB: NXTH.OB), developer and marketer of SUSTA™ Natural Sweetener, the great-tasting, all-natural and healthier sweetener, today announced the appointment of Camillo Ricordi M.D., the Director and Chief Academic Officer of the Diabetes Research Institute of the University of Miami, to its Medical Advisory Board. In his new role at NXT Nutritionals, Dr. Ricordi will support the Company’s efforts to inform people with diabetes about SUSTA, the healthy alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners.

A leading expert in pancreatic islet transplantation, Dr. Ricordi is the Stacy Joy Goodman Professor of Surgery, Distinguished Professor of Medicine, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami Diabetes Research Institute. He also serves as Director of the Diabetes Research Institute Cell Transplant Center and Responsible Head of the cGMP Human Cell Processing Facility, a NIH-funded facility.

He has authored over 600 scientific publications and has been awarded 11 patents as an inventor. Dr. Ricordi completed his graduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Milan, Italy and Università degli Studi di Milano.
