BancCorp, (OTCQB: HLAN), parent company of Heartland Bank, today
announced that Carrie Almendinger
has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer, effective March 9,
2015. George Smith, who has
served as Heartland's Chief Financial Officer for nearly 20 years,
plans to retire in April.
Almendinger is currently Senior Vice President and Controller at
Heartland and has been an employee of the bank since 1996.
She has 25 years of accounting experience and 19 years of banking
experience including roles as Accounting Supervisor and Assistant
Controller before being promoted to her current position of
Controller.

with her understanding of the dynamics of community banking, makes

Almendinger is a member of the Ohio Bankers' League CFO Forum
and a graduate and scholarship recipient from the Ohio School of
Banking. She is also a graduate of both the Graduate School of
Banking in Madison, Wisconsin and
of Central Ohio Technical College with
a degree in accounting. She currently resides in her hometown
of Johnstown, Ohio with her
husband, Erich, of 24 years, and their three children. Carrie
is involved as a Youth Group Leader in her church and actively
participates in mission work.
