Corporation, Symbol (OTC Pink: SOCR) today announced that it has
created an innovative platform that uses Bitcoin, a virtual
currency, to achieve truly anonymous billing and flexible bill
payment options to alternative healthcare providers like medical
marijuana distributors and holistic or spiritual healers who would
benefit from accepting payments outside of the traditional banking
system.
The new platform, called Bitcoin Collect is based on the
company's popular Medcare Collect system, but instead of using
pre-authorized ACH, debit, and credit card payments, the system is
built around a virtual currency called Bitcoin. Like Medcare
Collect, the system has the main benefit of allowing healthcare
professionals to care for patients that may not be able to pay
up-front for their services without fear of default, and without
credit checks by setting up a series of automatic payments that are
scheduled to avoid default. However, by integrating the system with
the use of Bitcoin, the company has added complete anonymity to the
billing process, which would appeal to alternative healthcare
providers who traditionally had to deal in cash for regulatory or
for privacy reasons.
