Glencore PLC said Tuesday that it has entered a multiyear sustainable cobalt supply agreement with General Motors Co.

The mining group said that it will supply GM with cobalt from its Murrin Murrin operation in Australia.

The Murrin Murrin site conforms with the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process, which aligns with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development standards, Glencore said.

Shares in Glencore at 1115 GMT were up 6.60 pence, or 1.3%, at 527.00 pence.
