Carlsberg Increases Stake in Cambodian Brewer Cambrew to 75%

Carlsberg A/S (CARL-A.KO) said Monday it has increased its
ownership in Cambodian brewer Cambrew Ltd. to 75%.
As well as brewing its own range of beers, Cambrew also produces
and bottles Pepsi for the Cambodian market.
"The increased ownership of Cambrew is in line with our
strategic priority of growing our business in Asia," Carlsberg
Chief Executive Cees 't Hart said.
"The transaction gives us management control of the business in
a beer market that offers appealing long-term growth
opportunities."
Financial details of deal weren't disclosed.
