CALGARY, July 13, 2016 /CNW/ - Nick Taylor, President of Softrock Minerals Ltd (SFT on TSE-V) issued an update on the company's operations as reported in detail on SEDAR and the company's website (www.softrockminerals.com).

He stated that the audited annual report for 2015 showed a 230% increase in annual revenue over the previous year to $63,560 followed by an unaudited first quarter of 2016 of an increase over the same quarter in 2015 of 27%.

He attributed the increases to the 2 and one-half percent GORR Softrock holds in the first well on a 640 acre lease in the Charlie Lake oilfield of northwest Alberta and on which there is room for 3 or more wells.

"The company plans in the next two quarters to expand its Lithium and Potash Pertmits in Alberta and also to participate for 50% in recompleting a Cardium oilwell in the Ferrier oilfield of Western Alberta.
