The Board of Directors of Toromont Industries Ltd. (TIH) is pleased to announce that it has appointed one new independent director, Mr. Richard G. Roy, effective immediately.

With the addition of Mr. Roy, the Company’s Board of Directors now consists of nine members, of whom eight are independent.

Mr. Roy is a Québec based business and finance executive. He sits on the board of directors of Uni-Select Inc. a distributor of automotive replacement parts, equipment, tools and accessories in North America, and has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He also sits on the board of directors and is the Chair of the Audit Committee of Dollarama Inc., and serves on the board of directors of GDI Integrated Facility Services Inc. and is a member of its audit, human resources and compensation committees.

Mr. Roy received his Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) designation from the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec in 2012. Mr. Roy is a graduate of École des hautes études commerciales (HEC) in Montréal.
