As part of its ongoing commitment to consultation with residents of Labrador, Aurora Energy Resources Inc. ("Aurora" or "the Company") (TSX: AXU) is pleased to hold public information sessions called 'mining and the future', offering community members an opportunity to learn more about the mining process and the proposed Michelin Project.

"The sessions will help people understand the proposed mine in the context of other mines in Labrador and in Canada, and the potential benefits," said Chesley Andersen, Aurora's Vice-President, Labrador Affairs. "Community members will see common mining and milling processes and find out how Aurora proposes to use these same processes to carry out its development activities safely, with proper environmental safeguards."

Aurora has been holding public information meetings since the Company's exploration programs began in 2003. The feedback from community members has provided the Project team with valuable insight into public interests and views on the development. "We look forward to hearing people's point of view and including their feedback in our future discussions," added Mr. Andersen.

The public information session schedule is as follows:

In addition to the public sessions, Aurora team members will be making presentations to junior and senior high schools students. "It is important for students to not only understand the mining and milling process, but to also start thinking about the potential employment opportunities in the natural resource sector that could be available to them," concluded Mr. Andersen.

Aurora encourages anyone interested in learning more about the mining industry and the Michelin Project to drop by the information sessions.
