Sterling Publishing Group Plc ("Sterling") announces that following a review of
its operations it has decided to make certain structural and organisational
changes that are expected to enhance the group's product offerings to its
customers and improve the quality of its services.

One of the consequences of these changes is that the current position of Group
Sales Director will cease to exist and as a result Mr Laurence Garman will be
resigning his directorship of Sterling with effect from 5 September 2003.

A new position of Group Commercial Director has been created which will embrace
product development, marketing and sales and for which the Group is now actively
recruiting.
