NTT America to Serve as Charter Member of New Industry Group Formed by the Department of Homeland Security

NEW YORK, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NTT America, a
wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation,
today announced its role as a charter member of the Information
Technology - Sector Coordinating Counsel (IT-SCC), an industry
working group for interfacing with the Department of Homeland
Security for strategic planning and policy issues. Under the
directive of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the IT- SCC
seeks to identify and prioritize critical infrastructure and key
resources in the United States and protect them from terrorist
attacks. As a charter member of the working group, NTT America will
contribute to the review and assessment of the IT and Internet
portions of the proposed National Infrastructure Protection Plan
(NIPP) from the DHS. "NTT Communications is honored to be

innovation and advancement of the Internet and to be named a
