CHEYENNE, Wyo., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (OTC:GLUX) (BULLETIN BOARD: GLUX) today announced preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of June 2008. Scheduled service generated 13,552,000 revenue passenger miles (RPM's), a 6.6 percent decrease from the same month last year. Available seat miles (ASM's) increased 10.4 percent to 29,336,000. As a result, load factor decreased 8.4 points to 46.20 percent. Passengers carried decreased 4.4 percent to 50,456 when compared to June 2007. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 3.9 percent from 32.18 cents to 33.42 cents. For the six months ending June 30, 2008 compared to the same six month period in 2007, revenue passenger miles (RPM's) increased 3.9 percent to 76,508,000 and available seat miles (ASM's) increased 11.4 percent to 167,988,000, resulting in a load factor of 45.54 percent for the year 2008 effecting a decrease in load factor of 3.3 points compared to the same six month period in 2007. The company carried 284,198 revenue passengers for the six month period ending June 30, 2008, a 4.9 percent increase from the prior year. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 6.6 percent from 29.21 cents to 31.14 cents on a year-over-year basis.
